Wii Console Updates

Posted on May 9th, 2008 by Justin

Wii Console ImageMany Wii users came to their Wii this week and noticed the blue drive light was on. Upon turning their Wii on a notice that Nintendo had released an update was displayed. After updating my Wii I downloaded the new Nintendo Channel. I like the Nintendo Channel it is more of a marketing area at least that’s how it came off to me. Nintendo puts up interviews and game trailers. I thought I read about downloading Nintendo DS games to the Wii and then the DS can grab the demo game but I have not found that part yet.

Playground for the Nintendo Wii

Posted on April 25th, 2008 by Justin

Playground for Nintendo WiiI recently received Playground for the Nintendo Wii. What a fun game! It’s quick to play and easy to figure out. I’m still working my way through Bully which takes more time. Playground for the Wii is a set of quick games. I have won the tetherball game in under 15 seconds, after I figured out to hold “B” in for a power hit. My favorite is a tie between the race cars and dodge ball. In Dodge ball for multi players players gave their choice of teams whether to play as a team or against each other. The basketball dribbling takes a while to get used to. Another fun game is the paper airplanes which players can race their airplanes or in single player race against “dares” the kids give you. The soccer/volleyball mix game is fun also. Overall this game is easy to play for both kids and adults and the quick format of the games makes Playground for the Wii a fun “I’ve got five minutes to spare” type of game.

Wii Bully Scholarship Edition

Posted on April 7th, 2008 by Justin

I like the game Bully: Scholarship Edition. The Wiimote and nunchuck are used for navigation and also for punching people. Speaking of punching people while playing the game you can learn new moves by doing things such as wrestling and bringing the bum a new transistor for his radio. One tip would be to use the chemistry set each morning to get your stink bombs. Also for the Saving Algie level watch out for bullies who come to beat up Algie. Also, the bathroom is on the second floor I found that out online. Algie will not go into the girls bathroom on the first floor. Got any tips or tricks for Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Wii? Post them below.

Wii Critics Booted in the Head

Posted on April 4th, 2008 by Justin

Check out this post about Wii critics blasting Nintendo that 3rd party developers would not be ble to use the Wiimote based on the old Game Cube closedness.. Wrong. I need to play Resident Evil 4 for the Wii as soon as I’m done playing Bully Scholarship Edition.

New Wii channel dedicated to Mario Cart. I read it first here. Looks like there will be 16 new courses and 16 old ones. The channel will let Wii users compete in tournaments and also show their worldwide rankings.
